The Web of Cokaygne; Candle and Bell

The Web of Cokaygne; Candle and Bell is a show that Dain is making at The Nightingale in Chicago next week on the 7th.

It is a three part show that examines the placement of animated gifs within the history of the moving image. The first section is an open DIY digital art exhibition initiated by Jon Satrom. Second is a screening of Oliver Laric. The last section is a selection of gifs by artists including: Tom Moody, Olia Lialina, Paul Slocum, Petra Cortright, Jon Satrom & Guthrie Lonergan.

BoxxShow is an exhibition that Dain and I are curating for the Happy Collaborationist Exhibition Space. It is based on her blog about boxes.

The second exhibition at Normal Projects and Fridge is coming up this Friday.
Hisham Akira Bharoocha and Conrad Ventur will be showing in the main space, and Angel Otero will be showing on the Fridge.

Normal Projects exhibits work on paper and video by emerging and established contemporary artists. This exhibition will be on view from November 7th - December 20th, 2008.
